A wealth of information and technology updates from industry shows across the country in 2025

In a fast-moving industry like ours, keeping up with new developments is no easy task – but there are a variety of excellent trade shows and industry meetings on offer, showcasing cleanroom developments from a wide range of specialisms.

Many are centred on London, but it’s not exclusive as there are some good regional events too.

As it’s still only early in the year, we thought it might be helpful to highlight a few scheduled for the coming months in case you’d like to get a date in the diary – and while no-one could attend them all, it’s helpful to know the areas they cover as there are often opportunities to follow up with companies or speakers after the event if a particular topic is of interest.

March

The Space-Comm Expo will take place on March 11-12 at London ExCeL. This exhibition focuses on the space and satellite sectors.space-comm.co.uk

The Making Pharmaceuticals conference and exhibition is scheduled for April 29–30 at the Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry, UK. This event is a key gathering for professionals involved in pharmaceutical manufacturing and will feature discussions on cleanroom technology, focusing on ISO accreditation standards, contamination control, and advancements in cleanroom design and maintenance. May

The Clinical Pharmacy Congress at the ExCel in London 9-10 May is primarily focused on clinical pharmacy, but will also cover topics related to cleanroom technology and contamination control. Clinical Pharmacy Congress

With the description ‘the UK’s most important ‘future lab’ congress’, London Lab Live is an R&D lab event focusing on topics including digitalisation, connectivity, automation and will also be held at the ExCel in London - 14-15 May. It will bring together practitioners, technicians, scientists, innovators, start-ups, and the vendor community – and is designed to show how the dynamic lab space is constantly changing and evolving. The Cleanroom Technology Conference, scheduled for 21–22 May at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham: this is one we regularly attend and perhaps the UK's premier event focusing on ISO-accredited cleanroom technology. This two-day event will delve into critical topics such as ISO 14644 standards, GMP regulations, contamination control strategies, and the validation of cleanroom garments in compliance with Annex 1. Notable sessions include discussions on the AstraZeneca and GSK sustainability experiments, the impact of Annex 1 recommendations on environmental outcomes, and the integration of AI and robotics in cleanroom certification and operations. June

The UK is hosting the Med-Tech Innovation Expo on the 4th and 5th of June at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. A medical design and manufacturing technology exhibition, it will showcase a wide range of medical technologies, including advancements in cleanroom technology.Med-Tech Innovation 2025

September

In September 2025, the Air Quality & Emissions (AQE) Expo is a high-tech exhibition that, while not exclusively focused on cleanroom technology, features relevant innovations. Set for 17-18 September at the NEC Birmingham, the event concentrates on air quality monitoring, emissions reduction technologies, and regulatory compliance, attracting professionals from sectors such as industry, manufacturing, waste management, and energy. Another event at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham – 23 -25 September - is the PPMA Total Show, offering insights into the latest in processing and packaging machinery (which can involve cleanroom technology), including robotics and industrial vision. Another exhibition we have attended and found very interesting in previous years, Lab Innovations is scheduled for 29-30 October 2025 at the NEC in Birmingham.
